Jonny & the Baptists – real names Jonny Donahoe & Paddy Gervers – are among the hottest musical comedy acts on the UK scene, regularly appearing on TV, radio, at festivals and comedy clubs around the country on their UK tours. From silly songs to satirical anthems, their riotous live blend of comedy and rock gig has won adoring fans across the country. They have previously supported Mark Thomas at the National Theatre, performed at major UK festivals, and topped the iTunes Comedy Chart with single ‘Farage’. Josie Long – often described as a unique voice in comedy – is one of the most respected comedians of her generation. She started stand-up at age 14 and soon after went on to win the BBC New Comedy Award. Josie founded Arts Emergency in 2011 alongside campaigner Neil Griffiths as a way to do something meaningful for the young people most affected by rising tuition fees and cuts to the arts. Josie has appeared on multiple TV and Radio shows, including The News Quiz, Just A Minute, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Alternative Comedy Experience, Skins, 8 out of 10 Cats, Drunk History, Russell Howard’s Stand-Up Central, Celebrity MasterChef and Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls, as well as Australia’s Thank God You’re Here, and Comedy Central’s @midnight and Night Train with Wyatt Cenac and Hidden America in the US. | www.josielong.com
Nish Kumar hosts his own satirical, spoof news series, The Mash Report, for BBC Two. Alongside stand-up, Nish is a frequent voice and face across both television and radio. Deborah Frances-White is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, screenwriter and corporate speaker. You may have heard her on The Guilty Feminist podcast, seen her on Have I Got News For You or seen the film Say My Name, which she wrote the screenplay for. Deborah’s background as an improviser, her quick wit and her warm and friendly style combined with her passion for justice, fairness and inclusion make her a formidable comedian. Her hour-long shows Cult Following and Half a Can of Worms were turned into a BBC Radio 4 comedy series for which she won the Writers’ Guild Award. | www.deborahfrances-white.com
Charlie George is an award winning stand-up comedian and writer. Named LGBTQ New Comedian of the Year 2019, Charlie has performed stand-up on BBC Asian Network Live and the BBC’s No Country for Young Women Podcast. Charlie was chosen to feature in Charlie Brooker’s writers room for Cunk & Other Humans 2019, AntiViral Wipe 2020 (Lockdown special) and Death to 2020 for Netflix. She has written for the C4 Election night special, 8 out of 10 cats, Hypothetical, Newsjack, The Now Show & Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.
